I started my career in public accounting and eventually became a partner and firm owner. I had successes. I made mistakes. I worked through difficult decisions, changing roles, the responsibilities that come with ownership, business pressures and more than a few moments when the path forward wasn’t obvious.
Somewhere along the way, I discovered that the work I found most meaningful was helping other professionals work through the decisions and challenges that come with building a career in this profession. So I made that the work.
I became a Professional Certified Coach (PCC), combining what I had learned as a CPA, partner and firm owner with the discipline and skills to help someone else find their own way through it.
That changed my career. It also gave me a different way to contribute to a profession I care deeply about.

Having been in your shoes matters. I know the language, pressures and business model of public accounting, so we can spend less time establishing context and more time on what matters to you.
But experience alone doesn’t make someone a coach. I’m both a CPA and a Professional Certified Coach (PCC). One gives me firsthand understanding of the profession. The other reflects years of training, practice and professional standards devoted to the craft of coaching. More than 10,000 hours of one-to-one coaching have deepened both.
My experience gives me context. Coaching gives me the discipline to keep the conversation focused on you.

I want the people I work with to build successful careers, practices and firms without losing sight of the person doing the building. Sometimes that means becoming a more effective partner, growing the firm, building a practice, developing people, working through a difficult season, or finally making a decision that has been avoided too long. And occasionally, it means discovering that the right path leads somewhere else.
I’m not here to decide that for you.

THE PERSON BEHIND THE CPA COACH.
Outside of coaching, I’m a husband, father, and lifelong fan of a good story. I love comic books, fantasy and horror movies, and collecting unusual things that catch my attention, from alternative movie posters and vintage tools to whatever else I find interesting.
